Cayla+Ethan

Say hello to Cayla and Ethan again!  You might remember them from their beautiful wedding.

Lookin’ good, Ethan!

Gah!  Cayla, you are completely adorable.  You seriously just light up the atmosphere around you.

Love this one.  We took a trip to Cayla and Ethan’s house a few weeks after their ceremony because these two both work at hospitals and are busy people, so they couldn’t work in their engagement session before the big day.  I have to say that I love meeting up again with couples after their wedding, especially these two sweet people.

So there wasn’t a plan when we arrived at their house.  They were up for anything!  So we trekked through the woods for a bit, got a few shots with Ethan’s canoe, and then I asked if they would mind actually taking the canoe for a ride.  They DID!  Ahhhh!!

And we got THIS shot!

Sigh.

Sweetness.

Ethan being a gentleman and helping his wife on the left.  On the right, Ethan wanted to take us to another area in the woods where he goes, so he fired up this fancy go-cart (that’s what I’m calling it since I have no idea what it’s actually called), and we all hopped on!

I started shooting straight ahead while Nick walked to the left of me and leaned up against a tree for balance.  BOOOOMMMM!  The entire tree fell down!  Well, we continued shooting, but Cayla got stung a couple times, then the same thing happened to Nick, and a few seconds later I started getting stung.  We made our way out of there pretty quick!  Later, we realized that there was probably a bees nest inside that tree that fell.

We did grab this shot before leaving.  Score!

Meet their pup!

Showing off those tricks!

Play dead!

We started complimenting Cayla on the beautiful flowers and decorating, but Cayla quickly corrected us and told us that Ethan did it.  WHAT!?!  What a great guy!

We ended our session in a field (without bees).

Another favorite below.

Oh man, you two.

And what’s a session without a silhouette?

Cayla and Ethan,

Sigh.  You guys are so sweet to each other and such good-hearted people.  Thank you for having us over to your house and allowing us to photograph your love.

Can you find me?

I feel like this needs to be in one of those National Geographic shows where they say, “Shhh.  Now watch as the lion (photographer) hunts (photographs) his prey (couple).”
