Meet Michelle and Marcus!  Yes, please take a moment to “oooh” and “ahhh” over this couple.  Actually you’ll probably need more than a moment.

These two are getting married in July.  We don’t normally take a lot “posey posey” images.  You know, where the couple smiles and looks at the camera (like the one on the right).  But, we always try to take a couple of those because grandmas and grandpas often like them (can’t leave grandparents out!), and sometimes couples choose to use them for engagement announcements in the newspaper.  Don’t you think these two make an engagement-y (if that’s even a word!) image look GOOD!

One thing Michelle mentioned she wanted in a few images were weedies (which I don’t think is a word either, but I knew exactly what she was talking about)!  …Just Googled “weedies” and apparently it can mean marijuana.  No, she didn’t want marijuana in her engagement images!  Go back and look at that first image.  See them?!  P.S. – Michelle, you have a gorgeous smile!

Michelle is an elementary teacher and in the middle of planning a wedding, so if you know her, go give her some appreciation!  I know how stressful and demanding that job can be.  I’m a teacher too!  Marcus is an investment reporting analyst. I couldn’t tell you exactly what he does, but it sounds pretty important, right?  Investment.  Reporting.  Analyst.  (Confession: I couldn’t remember Marcus’s title, so I stole that off his Facebook page.)

Shout-out to Michelle’s sister who gave her this red umbrella!  Cute little addition to the session, AND the weather was totally up in the air that day!  Get it?  Up in the air. Ha!

So Marcus and Michelle changed outfits, we changed locations, and everybody was ready for round two until Michelle realized she forgot her necklace in the car.  Being the sweet husband-to-be that he is, Marcus ran all the way back to the car to retrieve it for her.  What a guy!

Aren’t they the absolute cutest?!  P.S. – See that beautiful necklace!  Yep.  It was worth the run, Marcus.

Oh, just stop it you two!

Love this alley and this image of Marcus.  Lookin’ good!

We normally meet couples at a coffee shop, chat, and get to know them.  When we met up with these two, they said they were game for anything relating to pictures.  LOVE it when we are able to think outside the box and put creativity to good use!  Nick’s shot is on the left, and mine’s on the right.  🙂

Oooh la la!

Hello, COLOR!

Ending with a BANG!  Isn’t she stunning!?

We seriously cannot wait for your wedding.  Thanks for spending the evening with us and allowing us to create art out of your love.

-Caitlynn & Nick

Meet Amanda and Dakota!  We met these two at Starbucks in Greencastle, chatted for a bit, and then took a stroll around the square!

Amanda is a girl who loves fairy tales. Dakota loves to kiss Amanda. I mean, every time I turned around I saw Dakota (unprompted by us!) kissing Amanda on the forehead or cheek. Super sweet. I think that’s a little fairy tale in itself!

Yes, you two are completely adorable.  In the image on the right, I don’t think either one of them realized that they lifted their leg in the air at the exact same time.  See what I mean?  Way cute!

Remember I said that Amanda loves fairy tales?  Guess where they are getting married!?  A castle!  How fitting is that!?  To be exact, it is Clayshire Castle in Bowling Green, Indiana.  It even includes a medieval-style bed and breakfast.

AMANDA!  I cannot get over this image of you.  B-E-A-utiful.   (This was Nick’s shot.)

And this was mine.

Walk with us down a random alley and sit on a narrow ledge?  Sure, they were up for it!  Love it when our couples trust us.

Location change!

Nick’s angle.

And mine.

They are such a cuddly couple!

Amanda lives in Brazil, Indiana, but Dakota is finishing school way up in northern Indiana.  So they don’t get to see each other THAT often.  So glad we could squeeze in some time for a session and snatch up images like this!

Thanks for allowing us to photograph your love.  We had a blast!

Meet the Adams family!  Yep, get ready to fall in love.

This sweet, little family actually lives in Georgia, but they came to Indiana to visit their family.  Of course we had to sneak in a session!  That image on the left was taken in Grandma’s backyard.

Ahhh!  My heart.

More kisses!

Like I mentioned on our Facebook page, I love the fact that this was not a planned picture. No posing. No special location. Just getting ready to get buckled in by Mom and Dad.  P.S. – Know what song this little guy was dancing to at this moment?  Why, Taylor Swift of course!  She is Ben’s favorite!

I MIGHT be a little obsessed with big, beautiful sky images…but can’t you see why!?

So we are driving from one location to another, and I get a text from Laura.  “So he may have just pooped.”  We pull into a parking lot, get out, and the car directly in front of us has THIS bumper sticker!

Did I mention that I love this family?  Well, I do.

Ben’s true personality came through when we headed indoors.  I mean, who would want to stay outside in that chilly weather?  LOVE this image with Laura and Logan (a.k.a. Mom and Dad) in the background.

Oh, just look at those eyes!

It takes work being that cute in front of a camera, so Ben was tuckered out for the day.  He took a nap while Mom and Dad grabbed some alone time.  Nick actually wasn’t able to shoot this session with me, so I asked my brother, Matt, to tag along, carry all our items, and watch Ben while he slept.  Thanks, Matt! guys look GOOD!

Logan has some pretty cool eyebrow tricks.

Laura, you’re gorgeous!  Ahhh!

A shout-out is in order for Logan. He is often away from home because he serves our country.  Thank you, Logan.

Ending with a couple favorites.

Miss you guys already!  Thank YOU for asking us to photograph your little family.  Yeah, let’s do it again sometime. 🙂

Meet the Heet family!  As you can tell, this session took place back in the fall.  Don’t you miss those pretty colors and that warm weather?

We started by hanging out in their backyard.  Yes, this is their backyard!  I personally love it when we are able to photograph families near a place that is dear to their heart. These parents are artistic and crafty and have certainly have made this land their own.  As you can see above, they even decorate their mailbox for the fall season.

Love how Bryce has his arms wrapped around his whole family.

“It’s all about family.”  Yes, it is.

Crafty, I tell you!  This family also has a love for sailing.  Tracey collected pictures that related to sailing from magazines and then decoupaged (I think that’s the right word) them onto the stool.

Hello, beautiful family!

Big, beautiful sky pictures get me every time!

Then we changed things up and headed into town.  That’s Caleb on the left, Jonah in the middle, and Chloe on the right.

We split the team up and let Mom and Dad have some alone time.  Nick took the kids while I grabbed a few shots of Tracey and Bryce.  We didn’t go too far though.  Can you spy the kids in the image on the left?

Well, aren’t you guys a good-lookin’ group!

I’m dying over this image!  So beautiful, Tracey!  So beautiful.

Love the way you two look at each other.

Let me tell you something about these two.  They work…hard.  They both spend a lot of time at their job.  I know they don’t get to spend a great deal of quality time together, so I am so glad we were able to get some shots like these.

Love the way she looks at her kids.

Can I say I’m in love with the image below?!  Because I am.

Thank you for allowing us the privilege to photograph your family.  It means a lot.

-Caitlynn & Nick

Meet Megan and Dustin!  They’re getting married in June.  And, yes, they’re fun!

Love that image on the right.  Like I mentioned on our Facebook page, I think it has a dreamy feel to it.

Before the session, they asked if at all possible for a cornfield to be included.  Yep.  We found one!

Hello there, chopped-down tree.  Don’t mind if we do.  This image reminds me of the famous children’s story The Giving Tree.

Gah!  One of my favorites.

Goodness, gracious.  You guys!  Lookin’ good.

Ending with another favorite.

Thanks for sharing some laughs with us on a chilly evening.    Can’t wait to photograph your wedding!
