Abbey+Jim – Maternity – Brazil, Indiana

Meet Abbey and Jim! We photographed these two (actually three!) in Brazil, Indiana.
Once they found out they were pregnant, they knew they wanted to document their entire journey starting with maternity photos! Honored that you asked us to document it, friends.
The only image Abbey mentioned was a silhouette shot. Got it!
It was a long process to get to where they are now. They ended up going through IVF. Abbey gave herself her own shots but had to go to the doctor three to four times a week to get her blood drawn and to get ultrasounds.
Jim was pretty darn awesome through this whole shoot. He was like, “Just tell me what to do and I’ll do it!”
ABBEY!!! Gah!! Gorgeous mama. She told us that she had her baby’s name picked out since high school. During class she would write Rory Beth in her journal.

When Abbey’s mom was a baby, this was her dedication dress. Now their baby will get to wear it. Any cravings? Just peanut butter and McDonald’s!

We found a yellow field and started shooting!

When they shared that they were pregnant, they posted, “It has not been easy to get here, but lots of prayer and the help of IVF made it possible.” More silhouettes? Yes, please!
That dress!!! So perfect.

Abbey said she “just knew” she was having a girl once she found out she was pregnant. She didn’t even need her doctor to officially tell her. Their little one is due in just a few weeks!
