Meet Rory Elizabeth Mace!
When I arrived at Abbey and Jim’s house, Jim was feeding Rory her lunch.
After that she was out!
These two got her into outfit #1, and we were all ready to shoot.
Almost every single picture was taken in Rory’s nursery. Love this.
The sign made by The Farm & Co. that they used in their maternity session was hanging on Rory’s wall.
Whatever Rory was doing, it made Abbey smile.
Gah!! Love this beautiful headband and wrap.
Transitioning her from mama to daddy.
They couldn’t get over how sound she slept right there on the floor of her nursery. Jim said, “The next time she starts crying, I guess we need to just lay her on the floor.” Ha!
I have to brag on Jim for a minute. This guy stayed around the entire time for all the pictures of sweet Rory whether he was in them or not. When I asked if it was okay to grab a chair from their kitchen, he was already in the kitchen getting it for me. As I packed up my gear to leave, he held the door open for me. He’s a good one!
Back when we photographed their maternity session, Abbey told me how much she loves all those baby detail pictures. Me too! Obsessed with these.
I asked Abbey and Jim to move Rory a bit and then saw their hands. I said, “Wait, wait, don’t move your hands,” and took the shot below.
Abbey, motherhood looks beautiful on you.
Say hello to Rory’s nursery.
Rory did very little crying the entire time I was there.
Oh goodness! Hello, sweet babe.
I don’t think you can ever have too many baby yawn pictures.
Rory’s grandmother made this blanket for all of her grandchildren.
Love this! Abbey’s all-time favorite stuffed animal was this Dalmatian when she was a kid. She would carry it around so much that the Dalmatian’s head would have to be sewn on over and over again.
And that beautiful material below that Rory is wrapped in has been passed down for several generations.
A sweet friend made this quilt for them.
Ending with one of my favorites. Oh, how loved you are sweet Rory!
Abbey and Jim,
Thank you for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to photograph your beautiful daughter. You two are the kindest people. Absolutely love the fact that so many special items were included in her newborn pictures. Hope you two are catching up on some sleep! Can’t wait for more pictures with her soon.
