Hadley and Alex are back for their wedding day! Married in Crawfordsville, Indiana, at Hidden Hollow Farm.
I adore her wedding dress. It was so perfect for her.
Hadley incorporated so many important items into her wedding day by placing each of them on her bouquet.
Starting the makeup!
Gotta have a drink nearby!
While Hadley was getting her makeup done, the rest of her wedding party had their rehearsal. They weren’t able to rehearse the ceremony the night before, so they did it the day of the wedding! That’s their fantastic wedding planner below – Vanessa Rische. She owns Copper Jade Events & Design if you’re looking for someone to help you out on your wedding day. Look her up!
Hidden Hollow Farm has two separate rooms for the guys and girls to get ready.
Looking dapper, Alex!
“But first, let me take a selfie.” While all the ladies got ready, there were many dance parties.
Dad helping pin those boutonnieres.
Dear Groomsmen, you look fantastic.
Finishing touches.
That’s Hadley’s beautiful mom helping her into her dress.
Hadley wanted to do a first look with her bridesmaids. I’d say it was a success!
Walking out the door to see Alex.
Those tears started before she even had him turn around.
First look with her dad.
Everyone wanted a peek!
Hadley and Alex were organized to a T. They left plenty of time for pictures.
Hadley, I can’t even handle all this gorgeousness! By the way, do you see the macramé hanging to the side? (I totally had to Google “macramé ” because I didn’t know what it was.) Here – I’ll save you some time. “Macramé is a form of textile produced using knotting techniques.” Hadley MADE that for their ceremony. It’s hanging right where their ceremony takes place. Talented lady.
Meet their puppy, Cinco! Someone brought him in time for pictures so he could join the party.
Oh, bridesmaids! I can’t get enough of you all!
1. Those dresses are absolutely incredible.
2. Please tell me you all have dancing parties every morning.
3. Love, love, love you all!
Their wedding party totally brought it!
HADLEY!! GAH!!
How stinkin’ cute is their guest book?!
Mom and Dad walking her down the aisle.
It’s happening! (See the macramé?)
Ring bearer completed his job, so he decided to take a break.
The ladies were passing the tissues around the entire ceremony.
They wrote their own vows and read them aloud.
Now that’s the right way to start life as married couple!
Their videographer, Luke Menard with Luke Mendard Films, grabbed a shot of everyone right after the ceremony with his drone. He was wonderful to work with and is a phenomenal artist. If you want to check out their video, you can click the link at the end of their blog.
Time for the reception!
But first, let’s bustle that dress.
AND change into reception shoes. Tip: Bring some comfy shoes for the reception!
Speeches.
First dance.
First dance with Dad.
First dance with Mom.
The guys had a little song in store for Hadley.
And Alex planned a surprise of his own.
Let’s get this party started!
That’s right! It sure was a party!
Hi there, Hadley’s parents!
Hadley let me know that they definitely wanted some sunset pictures, so we took them away for ten(ish) minutes. We completely understand if couples would rather spend that time dancing or talking to guests. And sometimes couples are just pictured-out. We get it, but I’m so glad these two said yes, because (in Nick’s words) “some magic happened.”
Ugghhh!! You two!
Nope. Can’t handle you guys.
Going in for the dip.
Umm…how stunning are they?! See!! Totally worth it!
In case you missed their proposal story on our Facebook page.
Hadley was out with friends in Terre Haute when Alex called and let her know there was something seriously wrong with their cat. Hadley proceeded to freak out, head home, and tried to call the emergency pet clinic; however her friends talked her out of calling the clinic until she got home.
When she got to the house, there were candles everywhere and pictures in chronological order from the very first picture they took to the last. The path of candles ended in the backyard where Alex asked her to marry him. Then she asked, “So wait, the cat’s okay?”
Obsessed.
Okay, let’s be real. I’m obsessed with them all.
Let me brag on these guys for a minute. They completely trusted us and what we do.
Sunset pictures? Of course!
Will you walk this way? No problem!
Take a stroll through the field? Whatever you say!
I think that’s one reason we’re so proud of these images.
Best man signing his line on the marriage license.
This guy grabbed the mic and put on a show!
It had been a long day for this ring bearer.
Alex!! Workin’ it!
Ha! This bridesmaid was so proud of this teacup she found that she was drinking her beverages out of and asked us to take a picture. We did. Then a couple hours later, she may have dropped it.
Can you believe this is just Hadley and Alex being Hadley and Alex?! No prompting or posing on the middle of the dance floor.
He threw his shoes off, grabbed a seat, and leaned back to enjoy the show.
Shout-out to some other couples we’ve photographed – Jodi & Alex and Emily & Jordan! It was all because of you guys that Hadley and Alex found us. We thank you so much for your recommendation and kind words. Sending virtual hugs your way, friends!
I like the new outfit.
Ending the night by dancing with his mama.
Hadley, you rock.
Last photo we took of the night. As their friends were getting on the bus to leave and family members were tearing down decorations, they were still on the dance floor soaking in the last few minutes of their wedding day.
Hadley and Alex,
Oh. My. Goodness. Dear friends! We may be a bit obsessed with your day. Thank you for trusting us 100% and seriously having an incredible day! It was a pleasure meeting your family and friends and documenting such an important day. We so appreciate your patience. Enjoy marriage!
Caitlynn & Nick
You gotta do what you gotta do to get the shot.
That’s Luke! Seriously talented videographer. Here’s their beautifully-created wedding video if you’d like to view.
