It’s Kelli and Adler’s rehearsal! It took place at Dye’s Walk Country Club in Greenwood, Indiana.
When it’s possible, I always try to attend rehearsals to help prepare for the wedding day; however, there are days where we already have weddings or shoots scheduled, so it’s not always possible. Why do I attend rehearsals? Well, I’m so glad you asked! It always helps when I get to know the venue and owners before the big day, and I can take time to scout out some great photo locations. Don’t worry. I won’t eat your food and crash your dinner!
I asked who they hired to put all this beautifulness together. Adler’s mom, Kim, did all the decorating! What!?! How gorgeous is this?! I told her she needs to start her own business.
I always get giddy when I see some of our couple’s engagement pictures we took on display.
Attending rehearsals also helps me prepare for the ceremony. It allows me to see how the bridesmaids and groomsmen will be walking down the aisle, gives me a chance to test lighting, and provides me time to find locations to stand for the best angles. It also lets us know about any surprises during the ceremony! For example, a few weddings ago we found out that the kiss takes place in the middle of the ceremony during a Catholic wedding. I’m so glad we were prepared for that!
Meet Adler’s mom – the master behind all the beautiful decorating and according to Kelli, “the sweetest lady you’ll ever meet!” I 100% agree with her. She welcomed me with open arms and is a genuinely kindhearted person.
It was time to exchange gifts! Kelli and Adler prepared gifts for all the parents, bridesmaids, and groomsmen. This whole family is incredibly thoughtful! Adler’s mom on the left and Kelli’s dad on the right opening up their gifts. Attending rehearsals also gives us a chance to get to know parents before the big day and take one more look at that family photo list to make sure everything is in order.
The whole wedding party! Love this crew.
Ladies, you look absolutely stunning. Would you look at those dresses!
You’ll be seeing more of these two soon. Meet Ashton and Jonathan! Ashton is Adler’s sister and we get to photograph their wedding next year!
Okay, Kelli and Adler. I can’t get enough of you two. Seriously, two of the sweetest people we have ever met.
Kelli and Adler,
Thank you so treating us like family and being such wonderful human beings. We appreciate all your patience! Look for your wedding blog tomorrow!!
