Jackie+Cody

Jackie and Cody are back on our blog for their wedding!

Jackie brought all of her details to Elements Salon in Terre Haute, so I would have time to photograph them!
It’s hair and makeup time.
Jackie and her mom had their makeup done at the same time side by side.
Meanwhile, Nick was hanging out with the guys that morning while they went shooting. That’s Cody!
I totally put this image in because he’s wearing a USI shirt. Ha! That’s where I went to college!
Lips are my favorite part!
Jackie’s mama.
This bridesmaid was ON IT all day with her workouts. Just because you’re in a wedding, doesn’t mean you can’t get your workouts in for the day.
The viewing area.
Time for the hair!
This flower girl got ice cream in the morning!! Totally fine – it’s a pretty special day.
Gotta grab that robe shot!
Since Nick and I were split up for the morning, Jackie let me ride with her, her sisters, and her sweet mama to the church. Thank you for being so kind.
It’s bow tie time!
Jackie surprised Cody with a watch that she set to 2:30 p.m. since that’s the time their ceremony started.
She also had these cookies made for him. What?! So cute. Made by Kathy’s Cookies in Charleston.
Hey there, cute ring bearer!
When I met up with Jackie and Cody long before their wedding, they were trying to decide what colors they would use for their day. Cody really wanted to do an American (red, white, and blue) theme, but I don’t think Jackie was sold on that. Cody, the socks are a nice touch! Love it.
You guys look so dapper.
Steaming her dress.
It’s so difficult to put on your own deodorant when you’re in a dress. These bridesmaids had each other covered!
Time for the dress!
Reading Cody’s letter that he wrote to her.
I’m still cracking up at the little lady on the left! She’s like, “Really? No one is paying attention to me?”
Yes, there were tears as Jackie walked down the aisle.
Married at St. Mary’s Church in Paris, Illinois. I think Jackie told me that her sister, parents, and grandparents have all been married in this church!
They had quite the first kiss!
Jackie is the sweetest. She actually messaged me to ask what would photograph the best when they made their exit from the church. Always thinking ahead, that Jackie!
Signing the marriage license.
During family portraits, we sometimes use a lighting umbrella. Grandpa wanted to get a laugh out of us!
Ughhh!!! You guys!!
Jackie, I love the way your dress fit you. So perfect.
A school bus was their transportation to the reception!
Maaayyybe we should call it a party bus!
You guys are seriously the sweetest!

Their party bus stops at a not-so-beautiful gas station and I look over and see an old building with some great vinery. I ask Jackie and Cody if they will hop off the bus for two minutes, run over to the building, and take a few pictures. They are a go-with-the-flow type of couple, so they completely obliged.

After taking all our “posed” pictures, Jackie (barefoot in a gas station parking lot, mind you!) and Cody take off in a full sprint back to the bus. Although I truly love all the pictures we took in front of the building, I love this one the most because they are in the moment. Cody helping his now wife carry her dress while running and laughing together.

P.S. When I told the bus driver we would be back in a couple minutes since we were going to grab a few pictures, he replied with a confused look on his face, “Here?!? At this gas station? Boy, times sure have changed.”

It really was a fast stop.
The whole crew!
Get it!!
Cody requested this shot before the wedding party left.
Take me back to this day, please.
Jackie, you look absolutely incredible.
All the heart eyes!
Gotta get in those traditional shots!
Holy beautiful bridesmaids, Batman!
Thoughtful Cody came out to give his wife a drink. Everybody say, “Awww.”
Right before this picture was taken, one of these beautiful ladies screamed because a mouse ran over her foot. What?! If it ran over my foot, I would have been shooting on Nick’s back the rest of the evening.
JACKIE!! I can’t get over how gorgeous you are!
Speech time! Side note: During their rehearsal dinner, Jackie’s sisters passed out papers that were “prescriptions” for love that everyone had to fill out. (Jackie’s a pharmacist by the way.)  For example, someone might write that you need hand-holding once a day and kisses three times a week.  Dear Jackie’s sisters, that was a fabulous idea!
The cake cutting got a bit messy!
First dance.
First dances with Jackie’s dad and Cody’s mom.
This crew partied all night long!
Do you remember these two, do ya?!? It’s Ashley and Will! We photographed their wedding last year and met Jackie and Cody through them. Thank you, friends!
Let’s do the limbo!
At the last minute, Jackie and Cody decided to book us for the entire day instead of eight hours. I’m so glad they did because we would have missed these shots!
Party animals.

Jackie and Cody,

There aren’t enough words to tell you what we think of you! Thank you for being so kind, accommodating, and patient. We loved every single moment of your day. You both looked absolutely stunning! Thank you for letting us tell your story.

Caitlynn & Nick

Miller Photography created a beautiful video that showcased their day.

That’s me! Getting those bridesmaid pictures (with mice!).
Nick singing into an invisible microphone held by Ashley. They had such a great reception!
That’s Ashley & Will, Jackie & Cody, and Nick & I! It was an pleasure to photograph both couples’ weddings.
