Courtney+Josh – First Presbyterian Church – Brazil, Indiana

Courtney and Josh are back on our blog for their wedding! They were married at First Presbyterian Church in Brazil, Indiana.

Courtney’s mom, grandma, and aunt took care of all the flowers for the day. Such talented ladies. One of the reasons they chose to get married at this church was because of the beautiful stained glass windows, so we made a point to incorporate them into their images.
Two dress shots in the same blog?! Yep.
Here’s the sweet and beautiful Courtney!
Her bridesmaids did her makeup for her.
While the ladies were getting ready, the guys were having some fun bowling.
That’s right! All decked out in an Avengers wardrobe.
Love the colors. Love the ladies.
Courtney is an elementary school teacher. She works hard preparing lessons and grading papers long after the school day has ended.
She’s always helping others. Perfect example here!
Meet her beautiful mama!
Gah!! Hands really do tell the story.
After bowling the guys decided to play some Cornhole and Jenga!
THEN they decided to get ready. That’s Courtney’s handsome groom below, Josh!
How many groomsmen does it take to get Josh ready?

Courtney’s mama is seriously the sweetest. At one point in the morning, I was taking a few shots of Courtney in her wedding dress before the first look with her bridesmaids, and her mom pulled out her phone to take a picture. I moved to the side to get out of the way and her mom said, “No, no I want you in it with Courtney.” What?!? I love this lady. First look with her bridesmaids.
DANG! You wear that wedding dress so well.
One of my favorites!
While Courtney was putting on her wedding dress, Nick was snapping some shots of the guys.
Then it was time for a first look with her dad!
When her dad turned around his exact words were “Look at ya! You look beautiful!”

While Josh was waiting to see Courtney for the first time that morning, he would lightly lift his left foot up and then his right, left, right, left, right. Nick asked, “Are you nervous?” Josh smiled and said, “Yes.” I didn’t look to to see whether Nick or I took this shot, but this one and the one below are the exact same moment.
Next we traveled to the hot outdoors for a few more portraits.
They left plenty of time for pictures, so we were able to get their own pictures, groomsmen, bridesmaids, family, and the entire wedding party finished before their ceremony even started!
That’s Courtney’s matron of honor to the left of her. During her speech she explained how Courtney is an indecisive person. There are only a few things she is certain of – tequila, roller coasters, funny movies, and Josh.
This is how relaxed Courtney was before the ceremony. Haha! I love it.
It’s time!
I can’t get over the way Josh looks at Courtney.
They had a bubble exit!
Before everyone walked into the reception, Courtney and Josh asked us for a few more shots of the whole party and them two. Of course!!
Those colors!!! They’re perfect for your ladies.
In case you didn’t hear, Josh proposed to Courtney at Holiday World.
You guys seriously looked stunning!
On our way home from this wedding, I told Nick that there’s no way I could love Josh and Courtney more. They are genuinely so kind to each other and their love for each other is evident.
There may have been a little cake-smashing.
Meet Courtney’s Uncle Larry! He worked hard capturing video of the entire day.
THIS!! This was everything! Oh, man! Josh (and his groomsmen) surprised Courtney with a choreographed dance.
Shaking that booty for her.
They even practiced that morning between bowling and Jenga!
Their reaction. See?!? I told you guys! They are the sweetest!
During Courtney’s dad’s speech he said, “These two kids were made for each other.”
Best man and matron of honor.
First dance.
Father-daughter and mother-son first dance.
They even played the shoe game! We found out that Josh said I love you first and Courtney’s more likely to be running late. There might be a debate on who is the better kisser.
Then everyone proceeded to sing, dance, and party all night long with help from the talented DJ Jason Turner.
Side note. At some point during the reception, I was moving our light stands around and changing cards in my camera when a guest walked up to me and said, “Can I get you a water or some tea?” I was blown away! This was not one of the workers at the venue. This was one of Courtney or Josh’s relation who just happened to notice how busy I was and offered to get me a drink. I didn’t catch her name, so if you are that person, THANK YOU! Gestures like that mean so much.
Courtney, you’re so cute.
We kidnapped the two lovebirds and took them outside for a few more pictures.
Eeeekkkk!! Another one of my favorites.
Those are Courtney’s parents below. They are such kind and thoughtful people. (And Courtney’s dad can belt out some tunes! You’ll see below.)
YESSS!!! Throw off those shoes, hit the dance floor, and get those feet dirty.
I asked Courtney if she would mind laying on the grass for a picture. She had absolutely no problem with it. WHAT?!? Reason #438 why I love this bride.
Then it was back to partying!
Who do I spy with my little eye? Why it’s Emilie and Jacob! We photographed their wedding earlier this year.
Courtney has some dance moves!
While everyone was partying, these two took a seat on the couch and snuggled.
During the best man speech, he said, “Josh is always the one making everyone laugh whether it was crawling on top of cars or making countless Office jokes. He’s always making everyone around him happier.”
Twirl that dress, girl!
I’ve gotta give another shout-out to DJ Jason Turner. He is truly talented at what he does.
During Courtney’s dad’s speech he also said, “I could tell right away that this was the guy.”
Meet Josh’s dad!
And there’s Josh’s mom!
Courtney and Josh,

Holy cow! There’s no way we could love your day more. It was truly an honor to capture your love and such an important day in your lives. You guys made it easy for us by allowing so much time for pictures and trusting us with the shots. I left this day with the biggest smile on my face because of you two. Keep on being the kindhearted, loving people you are!

Caitlynn & Nick
