Meet Allie and Taylor! These two sweethearts were married at The Main Event in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Yes! Grab all the selfies with your girls.
Allie and her ladies had their hair and makeup done at Elements Salon in Terre Haute. I just learned that Elements has permanently closed since Allie’s wedding. I was totally bummed because they always did such a great job with all my past brides and bridesmaids!
The makeup is happening!
Last step. Putting on the setting spray to make sure her makeup stays put all day! I know absolutely nothing about makeup, but I have learned a few things after watching all my brides get theirs done over the years.
This sweet hair and makeup artist getting her own picture of the ladies she just spent the morning with.
I do crew.
The next stop was to The Main Event to eat a Jimmy John’s lunch.
Meet Taylor!
Taylor is a very quiet, considerate, and thoughtful guy.
Hugs for mom.
Time for Allie to get in the dress! P.S. Maria Schopmeyer from The Farm & Co. did all the artwork on the wall behind her dress.
Meet Allie’s mama, Kathy, aka the sweetest lady you’ll ever meet.
Allie’s sister helped with the finishing touches of the veil.
Say hello to Allie’s other sister, Madison! We photographed her engagement and her wedding is next!
I’m totally cracking up. When I walked into the hallway, I saw this flower girl.
Oh, look! Another one!
Taylor and Allie reading their letters.
The first three lines of Taylor’s letter read
“How did I get so lucky to marry you? I remember sitting next to you in sixth grade science class picking on you and doing everything I could to get you to notice me. I wanted you to be my girlfriend so badly.” After reading his letter, a few tears were shed. Her sister was there to fix the makeup.
Then her grandma arrived and more tears came!
Love these ladies. Allie with her mama.
During the best man’s speech, he said, “Looking back to when Taylor and Allie first starting dating, what I thought was her messing up all our plans, turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to Taylor.” This was a must-have shot! The trucks had to be included.
Lookin’ spiffy, Taylor!
Ughhhh!!!! ALLIE!! You are crazy gorgeous. Like my jaw-just-hit-the-ground gorgeous.
Madison made sure everything was in place.
I think I’m in love with these bridesmaid pictures. There was some harsh sun outside, and I didn’t want these ladies to walk far for shade, so we ended up taking most of their bridesmaid pictures in the room where they got ready. (And I love it!)
First look with dad!
Allie requested a picture on this couch. Yes, please.
She rode in the back of this truck all the way to the ceremony.
Ring security. I’d say that ring was safe.
During the ceremony, the moms each placed dirt in the pot of this tree. Then Allie and Taylor watered it together.
They did it!
Time for family pictures.
And wedding party pictures! P.S. Everyone in this party was major troopers. It was 93 degrees for this outdoor wedding.
Break time.
That’s Madison to the left of Allie. In her speech she said, “Allie’s my best friend, mentor, and sometimes my therapist.”
Cooling off with a giant fan.
These two started dating their freshman year of high school.
They’ve been together for ten years.
We ended with a quick shot of them in this pew and headed to the reception!
They’re off!
Allie’s dad gave a heartfelt speech. He read a paper Allie wrote in elementary school where she talked about the highlights of her life and what she was thankful for. Then her dad read his own “thankful paper” where he talked about how thankful he was for Allie.
He ended with “I’m thankful Taylor finally got around to asking Allie the big question. What I like most about Taylor is that he cares for and loves Allie.”
First dance.
Bouquet toss.
Then we grabbed these two for a few pictures in the field.
One of my favorites! Allie and her mom drove two hours to buy this couch for these specific photos, so we were for sure going to get plenty!
When Taylor proposed, he left a note in her car that told her to buy a dressy outfit and get her nails done. Then, as a side note, he included “We can do this another time if you are too stressed.” She had a big test coming up. (So sweet!) She walked into their house and saw a sign that said, “Will you marry me?” Nope, I can’t even handle you two.
This is the same truck Allie and Taylor took to their junior and senior prom in high school. The picture on the right is them in it for prom! They made sure it was there for their wedding day as well.
Let the dancing begin!
Bet you can totally guess what song the guy on the left is dancing to. Yep, “The Git Up”.
They had a fun early sparkler exit.
Then it was back to partying!
Will you look at how beautiful the place looked!
Shake that booty!
That’s Gunar on the right, Madison’s fiance. We’re pumped to see you on the dance floor again soon!
Allie and Taylor,
You both are such kind, good-hearted, hospitable people. It was such a pleasure photographing your day. Keep on being the wonderful individuals you are.

Nick and one of the videographers from Sky View Media helped load the couch onto the truck. You can view their video on their Facebook page.
