Meghan+Dustin – Wedding – Brown County, Indiana

Meet Meghan and Dustin! These two tied the knot at Brown County State Park in Indiana.
Those earrings were her “something borrowed” from a friend. They were worn in her friend’s wedding as well.
Meghan did all of her “getting ready” in this building right here.
That’s Karen, AKA Dustin’s sister. She styled Meghan’s hair for the day! When we met up with Meghan and Dustin months ago, they said that Karen often watches their kids for them.
That’s Miss Sophia on the left checking out her mom’s veil.
After Meghan’s makeup was finished, she happily said, “I look like an elf!” All the ladies replied, “You mean a fairy?”
That’s Meghan’s mama!
She wore her mom’s bracelet that her mom wore in her own wedding!
While I was with the ladies, Nick hung out with Dustin!
Making sure that beard is picture-perfect ready.
Dustin’s dad straightening his tie.
After he was ready, they went to the ceremony site to finalize everything there!
Miss Cora’s flower girl dress.
One of Cora’s sisters said, “Let’s keep the baby bib on her even thought the spit-up will be white.” Haha! LOVE these girls.
That’s Sophia on the left who is in third grade this year and Keira on the right who just started middle school! I adore these mother-daughter pictures.
Meghan and Dustin decided to wait to see each other until she walked down the aisle. Nick had Dustin downstairs and I had Meghan upstairs, but when Nick and I headed outside to scout the area for pictures, Meghan left her room and Dustin headed upstairs. Yep, they accidentally ran into each other! They laughed about it and handled it beautifully. Know what else? Because they ended up seeing each other before the ceremony, we were able to get THIS stunning family portrait!
Can you tell that Cora is a smiler! She just turned one-year-old.
Before it was Meghan’s turn to walk down the aisle, she watched everyone else walk through a window. When she saw Dustin, she said something along the lines of “Oh goodness! Would you look at my man! And I get to marry him!”
They had a sweet, intimate ceremony with about sixty people attending.
Their three daughters were their wedding party.
A few months ago Dustin and Meghan took a drive to show their three girls the middle school where they first dated. When they arrived, Dustin dropped to one knee and asked this girl who first dated him back when they were middle schoolers to become his wife.
Proud parents.
That’s Nick’s shot on the left and mine on the right.
I’m pretty sure one of his granddaughters decided he needed a little something on his head.
Time for family portraits!
The color of those dresses – Dusty Rose. What does Meghan call her now husband – Dusty! What?!? So cool.
The girls were having some fun with their cousins and Sophia’s shoulder was a little hurt in the commotion. She started crying, and as you can see, her mama and both grandmas came a running. So much love. (No worries though! She was completely fine about five minutes later.)

Side note: Her older sister saw me taking pictures of her crying and whispered, “Why is she taking pictures of this?” I’ll admit I always feel a little awkward taking pictures of moments that aren’t necessarily happy, but it’s my job to photograph the entire day and tell your story. I hope that Sophia can look back on these pictures twenty years from now and remember how her mom and BOTH grandmothers came running when she was hurt and how much they love her.
While the rest of the family headed to the reception site, we grabbed some portraits of these two lovebirds!
Those flowers suited you so well, Meghan! Gah!! You are absolutely gorgeous.
Lookin’ good, Dustin!
Meghan works at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, and Dustin inspects bridges for the state.
You guys are seriously stunning!
Dustin’s face when I asked Meghan to whisper something in his ear.
Gah!!! See! They killed it.
Nick’s shot.
My shot.
We asked Meghan and Dustin to stop by this field of white flowers on the way to their reception for five more minutes of pictures. Meghan was too worried that there were snakes in the field to step inside, so Dustin said, “I’ve gotcha!” He picked her up and walked in.
That wind just took her veil and decided to make this picture even better walking back to the car.
Then it was time for the reception!
These two dated in middle school, again in college, and now several years after college! They said, “Third time’s a charm!”
They took time to just hang out with their close friends and family before the dancing started.
Cake cutting. Get it, Meghan!
First dance.
That first dance turned into a first dance with their three girls.
Pointing to the boyfriend of the lady who caught the bouquet!
Then the dancing really started!
Those two professional dancers blew our minds. I don’t know anything about dancing, but if there was an Olympics for dancing, they would (no joke) be in it!
FYI: The very last picture on our blog wouldn’t have been possible without this guy!
Photo booth fun!
See? There’s Miss Cora still smiling away!
After their reception ended, we asked these two if they would mind taking one more picture for us. They kindly obliged.
Meghan and Dustin,

Oh goodness, friends! We love how intimate and personal this day was. I don’t think I stopped smiling (like Cora) all day! We cannot say enough good things about you two. Thank you for all your patience.
